If only I could remember your name

I do remember it starts with a K

letting all the male K names

whirl though my mind

coming up zero.

Is that why you stopped phoning?

Did I call you Ken when

it should have been Karma?

That night back in the first house

upstairs in the unfinished room

where the cracked ceiling sloped

when we had the magic mushrooms

when we couldn’t stop laughing.
